In lieu of Record Store Day, the Fred Perry Record Rally is a celebration of music culture. Taking inspiration from record sleeves, punk zines and even protest signages, the identity takes on a raw and loud outlook. Taking form of pop-up event, it was organised in Singapore and Malaysia.
CUSTOM TYPEFACE
Rally Stencil—a display typeface created for the visual identity. The idea was to create an 'analog' and 'Lo-fi' typeface which lead to the inspiration of stencil letters. Made to look raw and loud, it started with the letter 'S' which takes form of two records laid on top of each other which then informed the visual language of the whole typeface.
